The Holy Spirit and The Church: Get the Lifeline

Chris Price, Pastor The Way Church Vancouver BC

Choose two 1.5-hour workshops

Workshop #1

10 Commandments for Small Groups

Small groups form a basic part of human life. Although some are planned, others happen spontaneously. Planned small groups that remain healthy within the local church or seniors communities will embrace ten common principles.  Adults at all stages look for these in their experience.

Daryl Busby, Chaplain, Village at Smith Creek, West Kelowna

Workshop Length: 1.5 Hours

Workshop #2

Being Christian In A Secular Culture: Living Out And Expressing The Christian Faith In A Culture That Sometimes Thinks Differently

What does it mean to say our culture is secular? How can Christians meaningfully live out and express their faith and convictions in a secular culture?  In this session we will bring to light a number of widespread basic cultural assumptions that affect the way our friends and neighbors think about everything: faith & religion, morality & miracles, and Jesus & the gospel.  Then we will set out a number of guidelines for responding to these perspectives.  Special attention will be given to the wave of Christians who are walking away from God and their faith and, in some cases, becoming Christianity’s most ardent and informed critics.

Paul Chamberlain, Director of TWU Institute of Christian Apologetics; Professor of Ethics, Philosophy, Apologetics and Leadership at TWU

Workshop Length: 1.5 Hours

Workshop #3

Navigating Loss: Helping Your Church Grieve Well

Pamelina Chang, Associate Pastor Youth and Community Impact, Brookswood Baptist Church, Langley

Workshop #4

Developing Your Church Worship Ministry: The Power Of Worship In Advancing God's Kingdom

Worship is the very core of our existence. It is far more than making music. It is the catalyst for everything we do as Christians. It is honoring our King with the most extravagant devotion. In a dynamic worship atmosphere, salvation, healing, deliverance, and blessing can flow from the manifest presence of God. This session will discuss biblical and practical teaching on praise and worship. I pray that this workshop would edify and unleash you spiritually and practically as an individual as well as a corporate body of Christ.

Debbie Mun, Worship Missionary in Metro Vancouver - Currently serving at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church

Workshop Length: 1.5 Hours

Intimacy With Christ: Establishing Personal Spiritual Disciplines

Has the Lord been calling you to go deeper in the knowledge of Him, to live ignited, and fully engaged with His Spirit? Enoch was known as a man who 'walked with God' a simple, yet powerful testimony. This workshop will include teaching, listening prayer, and personal applications.  We will also talk about soul wounds that block our spiritual intimacy with the Father. I am praying now in preparation that your soul will be ignited afresh and settle into great joy and satisfaction as you grow in your individual walk with the Lord.

Gretchen Teerling, Associate Pastor, The Church on Oxford Hill

Workshop Length: 1.5 hours
